About LazyWoks

关于懒人大勺

LazyWoks started in a 6 m² student kitchen with one air fryer, no dishwasher, and a supermarket where the word “spareribs” meant three different cuts depending on the day. Every recipe here is written for exactly that kitchen.懒人大勺诞生于一间 6 平米的学生厨房:一台空气炸锅、没有洗碗机、超市里的「排骨」一天能有三种切法。

What we promise

  • Real supermarket labels. Every recipe names the exact English label to look for (Pork Spareribs, not “pork ribs”) and gives a substitution when the item is hard to find, because translation is where most attempts die.
  • Honest timings. We show total time and hands-on time separately, and a number in a title always means prep plus cooking. Most dinners land at 20 minutes or less; a few hands-off one-pots take longer, and we say so instead of hiding it.
  • Zero-dish methods. If a technique saves you scrubbing a cutting board or a wok, we say so explicitly.

The simulator

The flagship recipe on the homepage ships with an interactive cooking simulator. The rest of the recipes are tested written guides, not games, and we will not pretend otherwise. The simulator is a game, not a substitute for a thermometer: its job is to teach youwhy 190°C behaves differently from 220°C, and why a rice cooker can never brown meat, before you risk a real rack of ribs. Fail in the simulator first; that is what it is for.模拟器是游戏,不是温度计。它的作用是先让你在虚拟锅里翻车,搞懂 190°C 与 220°C 的差别、以及电饭煲为什么永远煎不出焦壳。

Food safety

We follow USDA guidance: whole cuts of pork are safe at 63°C (145°F) measured at the centre, with a three-minute rest. When a simulator ending says “not cooked through”, it means it.
